Busy days almost finished... and annoyed because of my favorite skater.

Went membership tranings and took the above picture; it was cloudy and windy so I could not see the east sea. Rather disolated, which is quite weird regarding that this temple is extremely famous, but I loved the view. It was just fit perfect with my state of mind; really depressed these days,

Have been really busy because of two projects, as said before.

I almost finished one of them; now I'm working with the last page of the final report. Another project has been postponed until April. My client announced me last weekend and it really helped me, reducing my burden of last week. However one project was enough to make me crazy with the holy amount of work so I couldn't watch the Worlds live:too hard task for a person who could not sleep until 5 A.M. throught the week.

I watched some part of the competition including men's final flight(both SP&FS), ice dance CD&FD and pairs SP, the best game so far for me.

Really happy to see & hear Patrick won silver in the men's competition, but a bit annoyed with his comments and all of the media noise around him. I agree with his idea, especially what he said after FS-the serious problem of PCS judging. His attitude, however, was so rude when he called Joubert "a sour loser". IMO it is ok to show your discontent to general situations but you should not blame other skaters or people directly, in front of the media. When I first heard of it I was so surprised and even thought he had turned out to be a naughty guy like whom I never like but he was still a nice boy and athelete deserving my respect in other articles and interviews. I do not have any idea of why Patrick suddenly made such things by himself; especially why he talked of Joubert again after the FS.
Isn't it-making upset skater calm and complaining about judging- the work which should be done by Skate Canada, his coaches or his agents? Why a 18-yr skater should make harsh words himself and get all of the criticism back? IMO they behaved as a kind of cowards:Hiding behind Patrick and just keeping him provoking a fight between the other side of the skating world, making him losing his reputations.
Now I think these whole thing happened because of the mad media. It is obvious that they really needed a nice issue. IMO he has proper pride on himself and opened, which are good for an athelete, therefore he said such things; he thought he deserved the component marks, which I totally agree, so he said it. However I am also sure that he does not realize the craziness of the media. They can ruin you, Patrick:they easily, and usually distort your words and make you angry with distorted things just to get some interesting stuffs. Where are the mentors and the elders who should keep one of the "Canada's hope" apart from the malicious media people? Well you have plenty of them, Canadians. Use them to keep your atheletes safe. We Koreans do not have any one to help our skaters; actually some of us are joining the media-craziness without realizing. I always envied North American skaters for their mentors; Yu-na had not have any mentor who can defend her in the cruel skating worlds until she met Brian Orser. But is there any meaning of holding your weapon while unused?

Really angry with the situation, so I also made harsh words based on my own conjecture. I want to say sorry for all whom read my grumble with totally broken english. :P

Back to Patrick's performance:
He did two great jobs. I prefer his SP performance at the Canadians, however; he seemed to be to nerveous and it affected his skating.
The one which made me really happy was that he landed 3 clean triple axels, which he had difficulties throughout the season. After the disasterous GPF, he showed almost 90 percent success rate in the competitions. I heard that he was struggled with the big jump in the practice sessions; I assume - actually hope that he is a kind of competitor who become "swiched-on" when he comes to the prime time.
The step sequences and transitions of his free skate was PHENOMENAL! I love his movement from the first 3-3 to the circular step sequence. The entrance and flow of the first lutz was to die for. His upper body movements have advanced a lot in this season. I have lots of things to say but I'll leave them for the future; I need another 3 or 4 hour to write my enthusiasm about him.

He has a lot of things to do, however; I want him to master body control over beat changes. Also want him to do some contemporary numbers and entertaining works, like Joubert and Verner did this season. IMO what Patrick urgently needs is not the quads, but the ability of facinate people with one look, making them as if they are in the rock concert. Sometimes it is essential, especially when you want to make your antis shut up. (even though I do not like that kind of performances.)
